Dress ideation

challenged to make a dress from cardboard, I wanted to come up with a way to represent how digital data is taking form in most aspects and how to cope with that. I used techniques to form a sillhouette that was inspired by holographic photos, allowing the body to change form when you walk around it.

Jules Markey is a current student at Savannah College of Art and Design majoring in Fashion Design and minoring in Fashion Marketing Management. Her style is a mere image of her thought process which is eclectic, yet sometimes put more simplified. Growing up in Austin Texas plays a big role on her love for a funky and western approach.

Styling has always been her passion then later fell in love with the design process leading to a new perspective on fashion. All things related to the image of the clothing and the message being portrayed through it is very valuable to her. Starting conversations through clothing is what excites most. Gaining expereince from all aspects surrounding the industry such as creative direction, photography, tailoring, styling, and editing is very important and motivating to her in her career journey. Working since she was 15, Jules has gained skills in many areas from people skills, to design skills, to digital skills and plans to keep expanding.

Jules is a free-spirited and determined individual who values the execution of a feeling or vision and expressing oneself through silhouette, texture, color, etc. Always down for an adventure and challenge, exploring the unknown and expereincing new things leads to the best form of inspiration.
